Sources
Factual claims are checked against primary sources where they exist: manufacturer documentation, regulators and standards bodies, and official program and exam pages. Where a claim depends on a source, the page says where it comes from.
How topics are chosen
Topics come from the questions people in practices actually ask: in messages sent through the site, in the tasks a new team member has to learn, and in the decisions an owner faces when buying, repairing, or replacing equipment. A page earns its place by answering one of those questions better than a quick search would.
Plain language
Pages are written for people doing the work, not for other experts. Specialist terms are explained where they are used and collected in the glossary.
Equipment pages
Equipment pages explain how common equipment works, what usually goes wrong, and what to check when buying used. They describe general practice, not a specific model's procedure. Where a manufacturer's instructions, a service manual, or a qualified technician says otherwise, follow them. Prices, where given, are ranges observed in the used market and change with condition, age, and demand.
Independence
No company pays for coverage, placement, or a favorable mention. Marketplace listings are submitted by sellers and reviewed before they appear, but a listing is not an endorsement of the seller or the item.
Advertising
Ads, when shown, are labeled as advertising and kept visually separate from the content. They are not placed on forms, the listing form, or course progress pages, and advertisers have no say in what is written.
Keeping pages current
Rules, prices, and products change. Pages are reviewed and updated when they do, and each page shows when it was last updated.
Limits
ChairsideSource is general education. It is not clinical, legal, tax, or financial advice, and pages say so where the difference matters. Equipment pages do not replace a manufacturer's instructions or a qualified technician.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date, or unclear, tell us through the contact form or at hello@chairsidesource.com, and say which page. We check every report, fix what is wrong promptly, and note significant corrections on the page itself.
