Two kinds of certificate
A certification covers a whole role: several courses, every lesson in them, and then a timed comprehensive exam drawn at random from all of their questions. It is the one worth putting in front of an employer, and it is the one that is hard to get by accident.
A course completion record is smaller. It says you finished the lessons of one course. There is no exam behind it, and the certificate itself says so.
Both carry a reference code derived from your name, the award and the date, so neither can be edited afterwards without the code ceasing to match. Anyone can check one at the verification page in a few seconds.
The limits, stated plainly. Progress is stored in this browser only: there are no accounts and no server, so it will not follow you to another device, and clearing your site data clears it. Nothing issued here is continuing education credit. ChairsideSource is not accredited by any dental board or professional body and these certificates carry no CE hours. The exams are not proctored, so a certificate records that an exam was passed in a browser rather than who was sitting at it. That is on the certificate too.
